A young kid spies on his local community from the top of his tower block. From up high this rooftop sniper observes private stories of aspiration, fear and neglect.
Told through the eyes of 5 young people living in close quarters, but unaware of each other, we learn about their intimate thoughts that bind them all together.
With an innovative use of music, spoken word and film it offers an insight into the private lives that make up the communities we inhabit.
Written by poet and playwright Sabrina Mahfouz in collaboration with the Words First Final 6 and Jude Christian from the Royal Court Theatre, it uses spoken word to weave the stories that bind the characters together.
Words First is the BBC's first spoken word season in partnership with the Roundhouse and Arts Council England. Show less
