Jennifer is dead, her lover the senator has resigned and is reported to have suffered a breakdown. Anne fulfils her modelling contract and tries to stay out of the public eye.  Former musical star Neely O'Hara tries to get going again but following another collapse, Kevin and Anne get her admitted to a sanitorium.  After a long absence Lyon turns up again confusing Anne's feelings....
