The media tycoon, Rupert Murdoch, has announced his engagement to the actress and former model, Jerry Hall, who was once in a long term relationship with Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones.

The United Nations says about 400 people need to be evacuated immediately from the besieged rebel-held Syrian town of Madaya, to save their lives.

Relatives of at least 7 Chinese human rights lawyers and other legal officials - who were detained in July - say they have been charged with subversion.
