This Saturday Out of Doors brings you a flooding special from Deeside.

After a week of almost constant rain, communities in the North East have been left shocked at the devastation flood water has left in its wake. We speak to people across the area about their experiences and where they go from here.

Farmer, David Winton, describes how his sheep were washed away before his eyes as he was unable to do anything to help them.

We ask, as the National Farmers' Union of Scotland prepares to meet the Scottish Government next week, what now for the future of flood management on our rivers?
Marc Stutter of the James Hutton Institute describes small measures which can be taken upstream to slow water down.

Helen Needham visits Ballater one of the villages hit hardest by the floods. She visits the golf course and butcher there to see the devastation and also speaks to a resident who has been affected. 

Helen also catches up with the Mountain Rescue and finds out how they were involved in helping people evacuate their homes in the village.

We find out about the massive volunteer network and offers of help that have emerged through a particular Facebook page and across social media.

We bring you the latest from Glenshee Ski Centre which has been cut off from the East as well as the latest snow and skiing forecast for Scotland.

And we find out about the possible impact on salmon fishing on the Dee with Mark Bilsby of the River Dee Fishery Trust.
