Roop Kumar Rathod's first major hit song in Bollywood came in 1997 with the song 'Sandhese Aate Hai' from the movie 'Border'. The former tabla player then went on to record many hit songs including those for soundtracks including 'Veer-Zaara' and 'Rab Ne Banadi Jodi'.

His wife Sunali Rathod, a renowned ghazal singer, often accompanies and performs alongside her husband of 26 years.

This programme features material recorded at the married couple's concert from 2012, especially for the BBC Asian Network.
