BBC World Service - Business Matters, Business Matters Review of 2015

Martin Webber takes a look back at the business stories from 2015.

We look back at a dramatic year of tumbling commodity prices that led to mine workers losing their jobs from Zambia to Australia.  We ask if this is a natural adjustment for the world economy or a warning signal that China’s economy is in crisis. Europe faced a migration crisis on top of more turmoil in Greece, while the Volkswagen diesel emissions scandal dented Germany’s image for quality manufacturing.  We will have two experts who know China well, as well as a guide to the year’s winners and losers.  Plus a reminder of the range of countries visited by the Business Matters team in 2015, with another chance to hear some powerful voices and songs from Chennai, Delhi, Gaza and the Philippines.
