Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) orders - what's your experience? 

We've seen a case today where one was put onto a patient with learning difficulties without consultation with him or his family. - the NHS have apologised. But DNRs are a well established part of end of life care.  It's a hugely difficult conversation between doctors, patients and families... a very difficult decision at an emotional and vulnerable time. When to revive a loved one, or let them slip away?
