Saieen Zahoor shares, his story, his journey, from obscurity to singing folk legend, through his music. In an intimate interview with Ray Khan, Zahoor tells of his times as a travelling spiritual singer before he was discovered in his 70s and going on to achieve fame as a world music artist and winning at the BBC Radio 3 World Music Awards in 2006. Also we open the doors to the Shayri Club in which listeners can share their own Urdu poetry and Ray plays an hour of love song requests and dedications after 11pm.
