French police target alleged mastermind behind Friday attacks

French police target alleged mastermind behind Friday attacks. And, at least 30 killed in Nigeria attack.

The alleged mastermind behind Friday's attack, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, was the target of the police operation. Explosions and gunfire were heard, and a number of people have been arrested. Nigerian authorities say more than 30 people were killed in a suicide bomb attack in the north-eastern town of Yola. And the man who defended a young Muslim girl from racist abuse on the London Underground.
