A quick search online shows there are hundreds of software packages and 'how-to' guides that promise anyone can build an app. But for every Whatsapp or Snapchat there are countless failures. Dev embarks on a journey to find out just how easy, or not, it really is.

Along the way he meets young tech innovators, including Mohima Ahmed, recently named in Elle Magazine's 30 Women Under 30 for developing an English to Bengali translator app, which helps parents and school teachers communicate better; and Ted Nash, a serial entrepreneur who became the first teenager in the world to achieve 1,000,000 App Store downloads.
