Kamasi Washington & Ben Sidran drop in ahead of their London Jazz Festival performances.

Gilles is joined in the studio by LA-based saxophonist Kamasi Washington and pianist Ben Sidran, who are both in town for this year's London Jazz Festival.

Gilles is back in the studio for another mix up selection and this week he is joined in the studio by LA-based saxophonist Kamasi Washington and pianist Ben Sidran, who are both in town for this year's London Jazz Festival.

Gilles' first guest, Kamasi Washington, has played with a diverse range of musicians including Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Lauryn Hill, Chaka Khan and Flying Lotus. He also contributed saxophone on Kendrick Lamar's second album To Pimp a Butterfly and released his own solo album on Brainfeeder earlier this year, called The Epic. This week's second guest is Chicago born pianist and vocalist Ben Sidran; a prolific jazz musican and author who has produced over 30 albums in his career.
