Amateur cooking competition. Three home cooks are pitted against each other as they try to make delicious dishes using the ingredient boxes put together by Christopher Biggins.

Three enthusiastic home cooks are pitted against each other as they try to make a delicious dish using the day's ingredient boxes. The first test is to create something from a box put together by actor Christopher Biggins.

In the second challenge, James selects the ingredients to go into three new boxes. They have to choose between a meat box, a basic box and an afternoon tea box. Based on the dishes from this second test, James decides who triumphs and wins Cook of the Day!
