A group of five spoilt kids from around the country live and work alongside the people in Britain responsible for making or doing the things they rely on every day of their lives.

As the five kids head north from London they have no idea what awaits them in the north eastern port of Grimsby, the fish and food processing capital of Europe. First off they visit the world-famous Grimsby fish market to see for themselves the huge range of fish that comes into the town. It soon becomes clear that some of them are going to have real problems with working with fish every day - a reality for the majority of people working in this town. So how do the kids cope when they are asked to join the team in of the biggest fish-processing factories in Grimsby? Will they be able to handle the fish on the factory floor and knuckle down to the high targets set for them by factory boss Darren? He does not take any nonsense and expects our five to match the work ethic of his own team.
