Singer Michelle McManus draws on all her singing experience and love of Gaelic culture as she embarks on her biggest challenge yet, to enter the Silver Pendant competition for Gaelic learners at the 2013 Mod.

Helping her on her journey are Gaelic singer, Catriona Watt, herself a previous Silver Pendant winner, and Gaelic language teacher, John Joe MacNeil, who will tutor her through her initial Silver Card Gaelic test.

Michelle travels to Scalpay to get some tips from former Mod judge, Morag MacLeod, and friend Kenny MacLeod goes shopping for her Mod outfit, as the competition date draws nearer. Trying to fit in her Mod preparations with her hectic life fitting in her Edinburgh Fringe musicals show and her panto commitments is a challenge but will she succeed on the Mod stage?
