The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, or OECD, is unveiling new global tax rules aimed at clamping down on corporate tax avoidance. But will they work?

The past few years have seen some of the biggest names of the corporate world accused of avoiding taxes. Google, Amazon, Apple, McDonalds and Starbucks, have all had the finger pointed at them in the UK and elsewhere. We ask Chris Higson, professor of accounting at the London Business School, whether new proposed global tax rules compiled by the the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) will change that. 

Also, Simon Jack reports on British businesses debating whether the UK should stay or leave the European Union ahead of a referendum on the subject before the end of 2017. And, Lucy Kellaway of the Financial Times gives us her guide to dinner party small talk.
