It's the turn of the next generation to enter the famous tent in this series of Junior Bake Off, hosted by the inimitable Aaron Craze. Forty of the country's best young bakers face the biggest baking battle on earth. They cross whisks over cakes, biscuits, pastry and bread as they try to prove themselves to queen of cakes Mary Berry and award-winning pastry chef James Martin in an attempt to become the 2013 Junior Bake Off champion.

A new batch of junior bakers enter the tent and put their baking abilities to the ultimate test. They face two tough tests. First, the technical challenge, where they attempt Mary's recipe for delicate welsh cakes. For the second, they must try to enchant the judges with a cake inspired by a fairy tale of their choice - from a Goldilocks-themed porridge cake and a fire-breathing dragon to two different takes on The Princess and the Pea. Who will have done enough to impress judges Mary Berry and James Martin and earn a place in the semi-final?
