Three home cooks make dishes using the ingredient boxes put together by Alex Jones.

Amateur cooking competition. Three home cooks are pitted against each other as they try to make dishes using the ingredient boxes put together by The One Show's Alex Jones.

Three enthusiastic home cooks are pitted against each other as they try to make a delicious dish using the day's ingredient boxes. The first test is to create something from a box put together by The One Show's Alex Jones.

In the second challenge, James Martin selects the ingredients to go into three new boxes. They have to choose between a bird box, a pasta box and a posh box. Based on the dishes from this second test, James decides who triumphs and wins Cook of the Day!
