Aircraft debris found on Reunion Island is from missing flight MH370, Malaysia's prime minister confirms. Plus, Egypt prepares to unveil a major expansion of the Suez Canal.

Malaysia's Prime Minister confirms that a piece of aircraft debris, washed up on the tiny Indian Ocean island of Reunion, is part of the missing airliner MH370. In Paris, French deputy prosecutor Serge Mackowiak gave a more cautiously worded verdict, saying that there were very strong indications that the wreckage was part of the Malaysia Airlines plane. So how much more does the find tell us about what happened to the plane and those on board? We speak to former US air safety inspector David Soucie.

Egypt officially unveils the expanded Suez Canal on Thursday - one of the country's biggest construction projects since the canal was first built nearly 150 years ago. For the first time, a new channel will allow ships to sail in both directions, cutting delays and increasing capacity. The BBC's Sally Nabil reports from Ismailiya, on the banks of the canal, to find out what ordinary Egyptians make of it.
