Former IMF head Dominique Strauss-Kahn has been acquitted on sex crime charges.

A court in France has acquitted Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the former head of the International Monetary Fund, from charges of arranging prostitutes for sex parties.

A court in the French city of Lille has cleared the former head of the International Monetary Fund, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, of charges that he instigated sex parties with prostitutes. It comes four years after separate sex assault accusations by a New York hotel maid ended Mr Strauss-Kahn's ambitions to become president of France. We hear from Fran Blandy, a reporter with Agence France Presse, who followed the case.

Brazil's economy is slowing and many companies are shifting production down a gear and that includes the country's truck manufacturers. Brazil's railway system has been unable to cope with economic growth and more than 60% of cargoes are transported by road, which has seen a boom for truck makers. However vehicle sales have stalled and the industry is laying off workers. We get a report from our South America Business Correspondent, Daniel Gallas, who outlines the challenge facing the truck manufacturers.

Learning a new language is challenge and in recent years people have been encouraged to learn Mandarin as the experts claimed it would  overtake English as the language for international commerce. According to EF Education, which employs 10,000 teachers worldwide, the migration to the Chinese language has not taken off. Benjamin Hope, vice president of customer success, at EF Education, tells Susannah Streeter, why English is still so dominant.
