The BBC’s recent Workers Without Borders series looks into the movement of temporary migrant labourers across the Asia Pacific region. In collaboration with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, the programmes aimed to show both the benefits and dangers felt by the individual workers and their countries. For some of you though, the programme could have offered more context and dug deeper into the issue. Rajan Datar speaks to the programme’s producer Laurence Grissell (BBC) and presenter Claudia Taranto (ABC) to hear how they struck a balance between personal stories and academic detail.
