Nihal asks if British-Asian artists should sing in their first language to achieve success

Nihal is joined by Heps from Panjabi by Nature, Cold Fever and Zak Knight to discuss whether British-Asian artists should sing in their first language if they want success.

Are British Asian artists better off singing in their mother tongue if they want success? Have artists who try to get into the mainstream music arena failed because they're just not as accessible singing in English as they are in Punjabi or Hindi? Do those consuming music prefer Asian artists singing in Asian languages? That's what Nihal is asking his panel of musicians as part of BBC Music Day. Panelists include Bhangra Producer Heps from PBN, Indian Reggae artist Cold Fever & Singer Zak Knight.
