FIFA re-elects Sepp Blatter for a fifth term in office amid corruption scandal

Sepp Blatter is re-elected president of Fifa, football's world governing body, in a vote overshadowed by arrests and corruption allegations. Mr Blatter's rival, Prince Ali bin al-Hussein of Jordan, had forced a second round of voting but withdrew. Kara Scannell, Investigations Correspondent for the Financial Times, gave us her reaction to the vote from New York.

Friday was a day for some big quarterly GDP figures. India's economy grew by 7.3 per cent during 2014-15.  The United States recorded a first-quarter drop of 0.7 percent, Brazil was in negative territory too, and it's looking like a pretty sustained slump. But is it a recession? Greek bank deposits have fallen to their lowest level in more than 10 years, as another debt deadline looms for the debt ridden country. The Greek government, the EU and the IMF have been arguing for months over reforms that must be implemented before the latest €7 billion tranche of bailout money is released. But before that can happen, Greece has to pay more than €1 billion to the IMF by next Friday. How much more uncertainty can the Greek people take? We have a report from the BBC's Theopi Skarlatos.
