Geoff marks the 70th birthday of John Fogerty.

Geoff marks the 70th birthday of John Fogerty.  With his band Creedence Clearwater Revival, they flew the flag of Rock ‘N’ Roll in America during the 1960’s and 70’s.

On this week’s Rock ‘N’ Roll Party Geoff marks the 70th birthday of John Fogerty.  With his band Creedence Clearwater Revival, they were virtually alone in flying the flag of Rock ‘N’ Roll in America during the 1960’s and 70’s – but they still chalked up massive hits including “Proud Mary”, “Bad Moon Rising” and “Green River”.  There’s also a tribute to B. B. King, with some of his early blues-rockers, recorded at what later became the home of Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash – “Sun Records” in Memphis.
