It's election day in the race to become the new head teacher of the school.

The pupils of a primary school compete to be elected as head teacher. It's election day and the three parties are hot on the campaign trail, and face a gruelling day ahead of them.

To celebrate 800 years of democracy and the signing of Magna Carta, one UK primary school puts democracy to the test as their gutsiest pupils enter an election race to become head teacher. In fierce competition with one another, they campaign for the most votes from their peers. The prize: the reins of the school for a whole week.

It's election day in the race to become the new head teacher of the school. The three parties are hot on the campaign trail, and face a gruelling day ahead of them, when the whole school, including the teachers, will decide which of the pupils will take over the top job. The party leaders meet the press when they are invited on to the set of The One Show for a special, one-off experience in which they will get a chance to practise getting their message across as they are interviewed by Matt Baker and Alex Jones. Back at school, the three party leaders prepare for the leaders' debate where they must speak in front of the whole school and also face a barrage of questions in their final chance to persuade the pupils and staff to vote for them. Then the polls open and the voting begins... who will win and who will rule the school for an entire week?
