Police in Baltimore face homicide charges after the death in custody of a young black man.  His death had sparked violent protests in Baltimore and other US cities.

Six police officers in the US city of Baltimore face charges -- including murder charges -- after the death in custody of a young black man.  The action follows mounting public anger in Baltimore and elsewhere over the deaths of young black men at the hands of the police going largely unpunished.
