Tom Morton highlights the career of American soul singer Merry Clayton in A Sideman's Journey, plus Same Title, Different Song features tracks by the Temptations and Madness.

Tom Morton opens his record bag to play the very best in pop and rock music from Scotland's greats as well as the rest of the world with regular features Spin The Globe, Last Orders and Early Morning Soul and, in this weekend's Sideman's Journey, Tom highlights the career of American soul singer Merry Clayton (solo career and backing vocals for many artists including Rolling Stones, Bobby Darin, Ray Charles, Neil Young, Pearl Bailey, Phil Ochs, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Tom Jones, Joe Cocker, Linda Rondstadt and The Blackbyrds). In the Same Title, Different Song feature, the track is 'My Girl' with versions from The Temptations and Madness.
