A new generation of community police officers are on the front line, developing stronger bonds with their communities and cracking down on the crimes taking place on their doorsteps. This programme follows the teams of neighbourhood blues in Humberside.

Neighbourhood policing is all about taking residents' concerns about crime where they live to heart. Any complaint is listened to carefully and the police are prepared to respond with a strong show of force when it is needed. Nowhere does this hit home harder than when they go after people who are turning a residential area into a magnet for others looking to hang out and take drugs.

In this episode, the neighbourhood team crackdown on drug dens. The spectre of teenage drinking rears its ugly head and a motorcycle menace decides to cut and run.
