Extra Time speaks to businessman and Salford owner Marwan Koukash. Why is he so keen to improve the lot of rugby league and does he intends to expand into other sports?

Rugby league often struggles for a strong international profile alongside rugby union but if Marwan Koukash has his way that could change. He's the millionaire owner of the Salford club in northern England and he has an ambitious proposal to enter a British team in the Australian NRL club competition. His aim is to broaden the popularity of the sport by also including matches in Las Vegas and Dubai. Marwan Koukash is Palestinian and was forced to flee his homeland for Jordan in the late 1960s before eventually moving to England. Why is he so keen to improve the lot of rugby league and does he intends to expand into other sports?
