This weekend in 1958, Buddy Holly and The Crickets arrived in the UK, for what would be a hugely influential tour.  Geoff tells the story of “Buddy in Britain”, with first-hand accounts from those who saw, or met Buddy and his band.  Including Lonnie Donegan, Alvin Stardust, the tour’s compere Des O’Connor, Mike Pender of The Searchers, Jimmy Tarbuck, Paul McCartney and fans who saw Buddy in Bristol and Salisbury.  Plus of course, The Crickets themselves.  It includes a World exclusive “lost” interview Buddy recorded whilst here, which has only recently been discovered!
