Tom Morton highlights the career of producer, songwriter and film composer Jack Nitzsche and plays the U2 and Carole King versions of New Year's Day in Same Title, Different Song.

Tom Morton opens his record bag to play the very best in pop and rock music from Scotland's greats as well as the rest of the world with regular features Spin The Globe, Last Orders and Early Morning Soul. In this weekend's Sideman's Journey, Tom highlights the career of arranger, producer, songwriter and film score composer Jack Nitzsche, who worked with Phil Spector , recorded with The Rolling Stones, Neil Young and many others before moving on to movie soundtracks . In the Same Title, Different Song feature, the track is 'New Year's Day with versions from Carole King and U2.
