Scottish guitarist and singer RM Hubbert and Grant Hutchison from Frightened Rabbit chat about Spotify, plus Trevor Royle discusses his book Isn't All This Bloody?

Broadcaster and author Trevor Royle who specialises in the history of war and empire joins the programme in the run up to Remembrance Day to discuss his book 'Isn't All This Bloody' which brings together a huge range of literary material - including poetry, prose, fiction, non-fiction, letters and articles - by Scottish writers and shows how war affected not only those who fought at the front, but also those at home. And staying in the same vein, art historian Anne Ellis drops by to provide a recap and a roundup of Scottish war artists.

Plus Edinburgh based journalist Brian Ferguson reflects on the gossip from last night's MTV awards in Glasgow and in light of Taylor Swift's departure from Spotify last week Janice talks to Scottish guitarist and singer R M Hubbert and Grant Hutchison from Frightened Rabbit about the pros and cons of the music streaming service for artists and music lovers alike.

And TV for the chillier nights. Paul Whitelaw reviews 'The Fall' and 'Puppy Love' which both begin this week.
