Craig speaks to Lisa Stansfield who stars in the film Northern Soul, which is out this week. The film is a portrayal of adolescent escapism and self discovery, set against the high-octane Northern Soul scene of mid-seventies Lancashire. We celebrate Sharon Jones in The History of Women In Funk & Soul. She's at the forefront of a revivalist movement, which beautifully captures the sound of the late 60's to mid-1970's. And a 6 Music listener will share their love of Northern Soul in the section of the show we call 'Talcum Time'.
