Penny Gore with our second week of Ten Pieces, music to engage and inspire primary school children. Today, it's Mozart's Horn Concerto No. 4, performed by the Ulster Orchestra under conductor JoAnn Falletta, with soloist Paul Klein.

Followed by Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6, the Pathétique, taken from a recent concert given by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra under conductor Andrew Gourlay. Also, from the same ensemble, comes Richard Strauss's Auf der Campagne, the first movement of his orchestral tone poem Aus Italien, this time under the baton of Christoph König.
Next, continuing with Radio 3's Brahms Experience, comes the composer's Piano Concerto No 1, in a recording made in 2007 by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra with soloist Nelson Goerner, featuring again conductor Christoph König.
