Andrew Neil presents the longest-ever This Week reviewing the political week and covering the Newark by-election result.

He starts with panellists Michael Portillo, Diane Abbott and Miranda Green who are joined by royal historian Kate Williams to look at the monarchy, with a review of the week from Andrew Rawnsley, while Hank Marvin looks at heroes.

And later, there is a change of cast on the sofas waiting for the by-election result in Nottinghamshire, with reaction from Conservative Matt Hancock, Labour's Jon Ashworth, Liberal Democrat Sir Malcolm Bruce and UKIP's Diane James.
