Alyn Shipton's selection of listeners' jazz requests includes music by Dave Brubeck, Roy Budd and James Morrison.

There's a broad stylistic sweep in today's selection of listeners' requests. Alyn Shipton introduces the sound of the classic 1950s Dave Brubeck quartet in concert, a rare track by the British pianist and film composer Roy Budd, and the contemporary trumpet playing of the Australian brass virtuoso James Morrison.

Live music and the arts: broadcasts more live music than any other radio network. Classical music is its core. Genres include world and new music, jazz, speech and drama.
