Live from the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Bellini's final opera I Puritani, with Olga Peretyatko in her Met debut and Michele Mariotti conducting.

A Puritan stronghold is under threat from Royalist troops. Within the fortress, Elvira, daughter of the commander has been promised to Riccardo, but is in love with Arturo, a Royalist. When she mistakenly believes herself betrayed by Arturo, it's enough to drive her mad. In Bellini's final opera, Olga Peretyatko makes her Met debut as Elvira with Lawrence Brownlee and Mariusz Kwiecien as the two men in her life.
