Agoraphobia sufferer beats fear after 48 years.

For 48 years, Pat Cooper has been afraid to leave her house due to her extreme agoraphobia. She explains how she believes a lack of treatment means she has wasted most of her life.

We hear from a woman whose entire adult life has been blighted by agoraphobia. Pat Cooper is 77.  She hasn't been to her local town Darlington since the 60s - and has only managed brief  visits to her local corner shop if supported by her daughter. She's missed holidays, family weddings, christmas shopping, days out in the park with her children and grandchildren. But last week she managed to conquer her fear of public places -so she could see her grandson collect a British Empire Medal. We speak to  Pat and her grandson Kevin - and we talk to a doctor who says he's angry people like Pat haven't had the treatment they need. Callers share their stories. Plus this morning we've learnt that one and a half million zero hour contracts are being used in the UK. But are they really that bad? Workers using the contracts talk about their benefits, while the TUC outline their limitations.
