Comedian and adventurer Tim FitzHigham recreates an 18th Century bet, attempting to travel 25mph on water using only the means available to a gentleman in 1765. 

History books record the original attempt in less than glowing terms:  

"Something snapped, there was a fatality and the wager was abandoned."
