A listener asks whether the weight of coverage of Oscar Pistorius’ trial is justified when compared with other major African news stories, such as the Abuja bombing in Nigeria which killed over 70 people. Andrew Whitehead, Editor of World Service News, discusses how much coverage was given to the bombing and explains the thinking behind the editorial priority given to the trial, in relation to other major global news stories such as events in Ukraine.  

Rajan Datar also hears about the latest TV and mobile programmes from the BBC in Myanmar, formerly known as Burma, and asks Tin Har Swe from BBC Burmese about the risks when reporting from that country.
