BBC Radio Scotland - Another Country with Ricky Ross, Vinyl Night

It's Vinyl Night in celebration of Record Store Day 2014.

Ahead of Record Store Day, Ricky Ross has two hours of 33s, 45s and 78s. Ricky brings in his own record collection, plus he plays new Americana and alt-country vinyl releases.

In celebration of Record Store Day 2014, it's a night of vinyl. Ricky Ross dusts off his own record collection as well as playing some brand new Americana and alt country vinyl releases.

Two record players have been brought down from the attic and plugged into the studio, to pay tribute to the format we all grew up with. It's ahead of Record Store Day which celebrates the great work of the independent record shops all over the world.

Everything played tonight is off LP, 45, 78, vinyl and shellac. Prepare yourself for two hours of hi-fi heaven, great stories, a few scratches and the occasional wrong speed.
