Excitement mounts as Catherine Anne's waters break and she is admitted to hospital; will she have the natural birth she hopes for? Her parents have dashed from Skye but Catherine Anne's mum is very concerned, given what happened the last time. Benbecula mum Katie Mary Macpherson has her first baby in Raigmore, but the experience was quite different from what she expected.

Day-old George does not enjoy his first bath, but midwife Katie Munro uses a tried and tested method to soothe him. Meanwhile, Ishbel Macdonald and her colleagues are kept busy in the obstetric theatre and we catch up with midwifery students at different stages of their training as they relate how much they have seen, heard and done - be warned - this includes a very thorough examination of a placenta!
