A lone man on a train platform, a married couple nervously watching the clock in the waiting room, a nun with a long distance ticket, an exhausted family heading to London at dawn - where are they going and where will the story of their journey lead the listener?

The first half of the programme charts the hours from dawn until noon - the second half will lead the listener though the afternoon to sunset.
