Friday Night presents a concert of Oscar winning film themes.

Oscar-winning film themes, presented by Film 2014's Danny Leigh with the BBC Concert Orchestra, London Chorus and singers Robert Lonsdale and Anna Jane Casey.

Friday Night Is Music Night presents a concert of award winning film music. The sixty piece BBC Concert Orchestra and conductor Keith Lockhart are joined by forty voices from the London Chorus, with soloists Robert Lonsdale (currently starring in From Here To Eternity) and Anna-Jane Casey (currently starring in Billy Elliot), plus the Joe Stilgoe Trio. Presented by BBC TV's Danny Leigh, who takes a break from Film 2014 to host this special concert. First broadcast in February 2014 on the lead up to the Academy awards

During the interval, a look at this year's Oscar nominations for best Original Song and Original Score, in the company of film critic and journalist Nick Duncalf. Judge for yourself who should grab a gong as Nick Duncalf previews all the nominated songs and tunes.
