Michael puts his career on the line when faced with a heartbreaking case, and Gemma comes to a painful decision about her future at Holby. Zosia's secret is exposed.

Still reeling from Chrissie rejecting his offer to elope, Michael jeopardises his career when faced with a heartbreaking case. Michael goes all out in his attempt to save a father and his teenage son. 

When her mistake almost costs a patient his life, Gemma is forced to question whether she really belongs at Holby. 

Elliot is still in hiding after last week's Herzig operation ended badly. Fearing that Guy Self will use this as the perfect excuse to shut down his legacy, Elliot cannot face another patient. Unwilling to tolerate his self-pitying, Jac steps in and forces him to get back into surgery.

Mary-Claire is left feeling increasingly isolated by Edward's snide remarks and accusations of incompetence. When a machine malfunctions on the ward, Edward is the first to blame her and questions whether she should be allowed near patients.
