A group of MPs says ministers have failed to make a convincing case for its £50bn high speed rail project. HS2: Are you convinced?

The government is setting aside £50bn for high speed trains from London to Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds, but a group of MPs says ministers are yet to make a case that justifies the hefty price tag. 

The government says it will generate billions of pounds for businesses - and 100,000 jobs during the construction phase alone.
