A Florida granny has won $590 million on the lottery; the winner of the Women's Prize for Fiction AM Holmes; and the guilt of Sgt Robert Bales as he admits to murdering 16 Afghans.

We take a look at Gloria Mackenzie, the 84 year old granny and great-granny from Florida who's won 590 million dollars in the lottery

We hear from the winner of the Women's Prize for Fiction A.M. Holmes, who says with her winnings she's going to pay off the remortgage she took out while she took seven years to write her winning book "May We Be Forgiven" She's also going to buy herself a new pair of fancy shoes.

We hear from a journalist who's spent the day in the military court of Sergeant Robert Bales as he admits to killing 16 Afghans including women and children in the middle of the night last year. The deal he's done with prosecutors will mean he probably won't get the death penalty, which has angered many in Afghanistan. We hear about that from Kate Clark in Kabul. She's with the Afghanistan Analysts Network.

The UK's expected to apologise and to announce compensation for thousands of Kenyans who say they were tortured during the 1950s, during fighting with Mau-Mau insurgents demanding an end to colonial rule. We hear from with David Anderson, a Professor of African History and Politics at the University of Warwick, who's been helping some of the victims with their cases.
