In the UK a vehicle is stolen every six minutes, and many of them are then used to commit crime. 

In the Midlands, Motorway Cops Adam Toal and John Martin are involved in a high-speed pursuit along dark country roads, as a gang of burglars in a stolen car risk both their lives and those of others in their attempt to get away. 

In Leeds, it is the same problem as PCs Mick Roffe and Jim Duffy attend a smash in which a car thief has crashed into a taxi. The taxi driver is badly injured, but the thief is unharmed and unrepentant.
