Desmond's theme this week is 'the song, not the singer' - a tribute to some of the greatest writers of the popular song.

Desmond shares good tunes, some unexpected ones and a few you may never have heard before from the worlds of classical music, pop standards, jazz , shows and films. All served with a sprinkling of interpretations from modern artistes who dig into the music of yesterday to make the music go round today. This week he sorts through his personal record collection for songs and music related to the theme of The song not the singer. A tribute to some of the greatest writers of the popular song.
