Nicki Chapman catches up with Karen and Alan, five years after their trial week.

Five years after they spent a trial week in Australia, Karen and Alan meet up with presenter Nicki Chapman to reveal whether they chose to make the move for good.

Karen and Alan McDermott hoped that Australia would give them the chance not only to live a better quality of life with their children, but also to start their own business. However, after seeing the high emotional and financial price of starting a new life down under, the McDermotts faced a life-changing decision. Five years on from their trial week, we return to see whether they chose to stay in the UK or make the move for good.
