Programme 5 of Something to Think About…with Mr Bloom.

Mr Bloom reflects on how the roots of a tree are like drinking straws.
Mr Bloom visits a Tiddler in the ‘Rainbow Room’ at his school and learns how the wise old oak tree can teach us a lesson or two.

In this week's story the Veggies make a huge milkshake and then get creative with their straws.

To celebrate the pan-BBC Summer of UK Wildlife season, we have made a special summer series of Something to Think About. Each programme is presented throughout by Mr Bloom from the CBeebies television show Mr Bloom’s Nursery and encourages children to explore and reflect on life-lessons through gardening and wildlife themes.

Stories are inspired by the Mr Bloom’s Nursery TV shows, are told by Mr Bloom and feature the colourful Veggie characters. For those of you unfamiliar with the series, there is a ‘Who’s who?’ guide to the characters in the Teacher's Notes.

Something to Think About…with Mr Bloom offers all the traditional features of the Something to Think About programmes you know and love. Songs are from the Come and Praise and All About our School collections and at the end of each programme there is an opportunity to give thanks and to reflect on the themes explored in the show.
